Twitter: @abrowninvesting Last year I made a video called, “How to start a growth portfolio” If you had invested in that exact portfolio in October when released the video, which consisted of Bank of America, Berkshire Hathaway, Prudential financial and Biogen you would already have an almost 50% gain already and it has been just 7 months. Stock #1 Shinoken We are starting in Japan with Shinoken. Shinoken develops apartment projects, sells the apartments and also acts as a property manager as well. The market size for Shinoken is gigantic. Tokyo is the biggest city on the planet and the fact that Shinoken is only representing 1% of all new apartments in Japan. There is a very big market to grow into. Their market Cap is under $400 Million USD so they are a small cap company in a big marketplace. Mohnish Pabrai, one of my favorite authors and investors, has just recently invested in Shinoken. It appears he holds more than 5% of the company now. Stock #2 OTCM OTCM Essentially are a coordinator of 10’s of thousands of company listings. They compete with the Nasdaq and NYSE but in the small cap world and the international listings world. They have a different market entirely to Nasdaq and NYSE. The small cap world is underserved and OTCM is the only player. Stock #3 Markel Judges Scientific Etsy I could probably throw Nintendo and Constellation Software into this list as well. I’m also looking into Redbubble and Australian based company, which is kind of similar to Etsy but I haven’t finished digging into that yet.
