There is known that around 10% of the population in Europe suffers from chronic rhinosinusitis, however, there are differences in Europe for instance in Scandinavian countries the percentage is lower from 6% to 7% of the population having sinusitis. In Belgium, around 18% of the population suffers from chronic rhinosinusitis, which worries our experts trying to figure out through research the reason why the percentage in Belgium is higher than for instance in Scandinavian countries.
