After more than a year of using my Glove80, I finally decided to compare three different switches. These are not random switches, they’re the ones specifically made for the Glove80: the Red Pros, Plum Blossoms, and Cherry Blossoms. When I first got the keyboard, it came with the Red Pros. I didn’t know any better, it was my first mechanical keyboard, and at first, I thought they were fine. But something always felt off. They were loud, unstable, and typing on them felt inconsistent. My hands started to hurt, and I thought I was developing RSI. Turns out, it wasn’t the keyboard itself, it was the switches. So I decided to switch to the Plum Blossoms. At first, they felt like heaven. They were silent, smooth, and stable. But after a few weeks, I started to feel pain again. This time, it was my fingertips and joints. They were just too heavy for me. I come from Apple’s Magic Keyboard, so my hands are used to softer keys. Finally, after waiting months, I got the Cherry Blossoms. And this time, everything changed. They feel balanced, soft, and stable. They don’t tire my fingers, they don’t wobble, and they’re quiet enough to use while recording. For me, these are the perfect switches. In this video, I’ll show you sound comparisons between the three switches, explain how each one feels to type on, and share what I learned after spending over $440 making two expensive mistakes. If you’re thinking about getting a split keyboard or switching to a mechanical one, this video will save you time, money, and pain.
