(5 Jun 2000) English/Nat STORY: REEF BTS LOCATION: LONDON DATE: RECENT Feel good rockers REEF have been filming the video for their new single 'SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT', due out in the UK in July. The video was inspired by the track's big, upbeat, guitar driven sound. Like all Reef tunes it's infectiously uplifting, and the band's performance forms the backbone of the video's storyline. The final version will see the group playing in front of a backdrop showing giant versions of themselves performing the same song. APTN went behind the scenes as the band filmed the first stage, the backdrop material, in London's Bow Studios. The shoot was directed by HEIDI EASTON, a friend of the band, who also directed the video for their last single 'New Bird'. British musicians Kenwyn House, Gary Stringer, Dominic Greensmith and Jack Bessant formed Reef in 1993 . Past hits include 'Naked', 'Place Your Hands on Me' and 'Come Back Brighter', 'Consideration', and 'I've Got Something to Say'. 'Set the Record Straight' is released in the UK on July 31st, ahead of the album 'Get Away'.
