Here is an update on the multitrunk Juniperus sabina 'Tamarascafolia'. The first video in this series was filled approximately 3 years ago. Since last time, the foliage has lengthened, giving me the ability to sculpt the secondary and tertiary growth. Aluminum wire is wrapped around each branch and can then retain the branch in a new position. The branches will harden into the new position as the tips continue to grow. As the branches grow, the diameter of the branch will increase which might cause swelling around the contact point of the wire and the branch. The wire will be left on the tree as long as possible.
