The loudest horn of the entire DE30AC/DM30AC fleet in my opinion and the best sounding K5LLA horn of all 7 that are currently in service in Long Island aka the 504. This one was a close call between 504, 509, 521, and 423 as they all sound superb. But 504 in my opinion barely takes the title of best K5LLA horn of the LIRR fleet with the horn's loudness. This is one of only eight ever installed in Long Island on DE30AC and DM30AC locos. With 521 being the first in March 2012, then 511 in May 2012, then 423 (Ex DM30AC 507) in 2013 right after the conversion to a DE30AC, then 413 in 2014, then 504 in 2018, then 409 in mid 2019, then 509 in late 2019, now the most recent addition is 508 in the last week of December 2025.
