The video shows the operation of an example plant that recovers lost heat. The energy of hot flue gases, normally emitted into the atmosphere, is recovered and transferred to heat up another technological process. Stage 1 🔥 - The flue gas from the spray dryer is extracted through the chimney and, after being redirected by opening the control damper, goes to the economizer (flue gas-water heat exchanger). Recovery of flue gas energy through an exchanger connected to the heat recovery hydraulic system takes place. Stage 2 ⚙ - The extracted heat is transported by dedicated piping through the heating medium - water with a corrosion inhibitor that has been softened. The liquid circulation is forced by an electric pump, then goes to the air heater built in the air intake unit module with pre-filters. Stage 3 🛠 - The heat received, via water, goes to the air-water heater, heating the process air going into the dryer. Gas burners, by operating with pre-heated air and oxygen, consume less gas necessary to maintain the dryer's constant operating temperature. Savings are up to 30% over standard consumption.
