The feast is in celebration of Macbeth's recent victories in battle and his new title as Thane of Cawdor. 🏰 🔮 Meanwhile, the atmosphere outside is tense as darkness envelopes the castle grounds, and the heavens seem disturbed with unnatural happenings. 🌑 🕯️ Inside, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth play gracious hosts, but the weight of their dark secrets is growing. Their ambition has led to murder, and they are haunted by their deeds. 😰 🤔 During the feast, Macbeth spots a familiar face - Banquo's ghost! Only he can see the phantom, and it terrifies him. The guilt of killing his once loyal friend has come back to haunt him - quite literally. 👻 😱 Macbeth's reactions are erratic and strange, raising suspicions among the guests. Lady Macbeth tries to cover for him, claiming he's had these "visions" since he was a child. But the damage is done, and Macbeth's mental state is on full display. 🎭 🙅‍♂️ Unable to bear the ghostly presence any longer, Macbeth loses control and vows to consult with the witches again. He's desperate for more predictions and reassurance, even if it means delving further into the dark arts. 🧙‍♂️ 💡 As the scene ends, the banquet is in disarray, and Macbeth's grip on reality slips further away.
