Hello there, Solomon Chau here with my new 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE AWD!? Off the bat it has many redeeming qualities, but the fact that it's made in Japan makes everything so much more special. I'm very price conscious and this was pretty much the cheapest hybrid I could get my hands on at the time. I needed something on the spot at the dealership and had no time to order anything outside. People were also buying Corollas left and right at the time. The affordable car scarcity was real. Even the used car section was expensive, around $25,000 for something with 20,000 miles on it. It's a zoo out there. In any event, the got the hybrid car for about $25,000 MSRP. After the taxes, registration, and whatever paperwork, the grand total became about $28,500. I got $1000 off simply by asking/negotiating with a snake oil car salesman and telling them that I'm a medical personnel, which is true by the way. Other alternate choices included the standard LE model or the Sports model, all of which were practically the same price $24,000 - $25,000. I purchased new, because I needed something that would last a long time. I do not like going back and forth buy and selling cars. I need my time to actually go to work at the hospital(s). I do not have much other purpose nor desire to do much of anything else in my life other than to max out hours worked. I need something to entertain my industrial, overly productive Asian, overachieving ADHD syndrome. Also, they had the Toyota Corolla Hybrid Sports Model, but that was well over budget at around $29,500. You might as well just upgrade to a 2024 Camry and get more car for the same price instead. Speaking of which, for such a small car, the Corolla LE Hybrid AWD only gets around 48 miles per gallon, which is less than what the Camry gets. Ideally, I'd like front wheel drive to save on repair costs and whatnot but that was the only thing left on the lot that interested me. Much can be said about how awesome this car is, but I have to run. I have to work. I have bills to pay. I got kidz to feed (not literally of course).
