He also spent one season as an Assistant Coach under Bobby Knight at the University of Indiana and learned from one of the best early on. After winning countless domestic titles with Milano he finally decided it was time to take on a new challenge and became the Head Coach of Derthona Tortona in the Italian 1st division.
