Every evening before bed, Little Timmy would snuggle up with his teddy bear, hugging it tight. "Goodnight, Ted," he'd whisper, giving it a squeeze. "I love you." One night, as he lay in bed, he felt a sudden sadness. His teddy bear seemed a little less comforting. "What's wrong, Ted?" Little Timmy asked, his eyes wide with worry. "I'm scared," his teddy bear replied in a tiny voice. Little Timmy was surprised. He had never heard his teddy bear talk before. "Scared of what?" he asked, his voice shaking a little. "I'm afraid of the darkness," Teddy Bear confessed. "I don't like it when it's dark and I can't see." Little Timmy felt a surge of concern. He knew just what to do. "Don't be scared, Ted," he said, crawling out of bed. "Let's turn on the light." Together, they switched on the bedside lamp, and the room filled with warm, comforting light. "See, Ted?" Little Timmy said, giving his teddy bear a hug. "There's nothing to be scared of when there's light." Teddy Bear seemed to relax in his little boy's arms. "Thank you, Timmy," he said. "You've given me the best hug ever." Little Timmy smiled. He realized then that hugs weren't just about showing love, they could also make people feel better. From that night on, whenever Teddy Bear was afraid, Little Timmy would give him a hug, and together they would face their fears. And every time, Teddy Bear would thank Little Timmy for the best hug ever. As they snuggled up in bed that night, Little Timmy whispered, "Goodnight, Ted. You're not scared anymore, right?" "Right," Teddy Bear replied, giving a happy squeak. "And I'm not afraid because I know you'll always give me the best hug ever." And with that, they both drifted off to sleep, comforted by the warmth of each other's company. The end.
