Coorong, SA is a great place to test your sand driving skills. It never disappoints! You can enter the beach at multiple locations, then drive either along the beach itself, or through the tracks winding through the sand dunes. Some parts have designated camping areas when in the National Park, other areas you can just camp in the dunes. Max trax, deflated tyres, a winch, rope and sand flag are a must as there are some challenging areas where caution and experience are needed. Keep your CB radio on as a precaution. Ensure you check tide times as some beaches are quite narrow. On one trip we helped a young couple who were bogged and had to leave their vehicle on the beach overnight before we could get it out the next morning. The tide had come up around its tyres overnight.
