Billie´s Bounce by Charlie Parker - Song of the Month with Backing track - Jazz Guitar lesson

In the "Song of the month" in January 2018 I'm playing the tune Billiés Bounce by Charlie Parker. It´s a Jazz Blues tune with many great recordings. George Benson, Stan Getz and of course Charlie Parkers own recording are among these. Charlie Parker composed and recorded the song in 1945 and the line up was: Charlie Parker – Alto saxophone Miles Davis – Trumpet Dizzy Gillespie – ...actually he played the piano on this tune Curley Russell – Bass Max Roach – Drums I'm playing the tune with the theme and solo and then there's a backing track with tips on scales to use to each chord in the 12 bar blues. There are also transcribed lines which I show in a slow tempo and you can download them below. I have always like to play this tune and its a good one to have in the repertoire. As a jazz guitarist, the recording with George Benson is stunning and I can really recommend to listen to that one. Just to listen to it will develop your jazz guitar playing I promise.
