Building a mini house part 10 - build an insulated front door - save money!

Front doors are on the whole are hugely expensive to buy. In this video I show you my take on an insulated door which can be made relatively easily and economically. No need to go for exterior grade ply if you cant get it, the ply is well protected and should last a long time in standard non waterproof grade. Most doors are not insulated and as I was building the door anyway I thought it wouldn't hurt to insulate it with polystyrene foam. It should help a bit. I ended up with a door of 70 mm thick (2 - 3/4 inch). Its nice to have a solid door :-) Hinges and fitting of the mechanism were partially done with a router but if you don't have one the necessary can be accomplished with a mortice chisel and mallet - just takes longer.
