After being cosmetically restored on the NYMR it was loaned to the National Railway Museum and put on static display at Locomotion Shildon as part of a Second World War display. The locomotive took part in the 2019 Annual Steam Gala before heading to its new home at the Dartmouth Steam Railway. 2253 has been named OMAHA after the USA state and the name of one of the Normandy beaches American troops landed on D-Day, 6th June 1944. - from North Yorks Moors Railway Website
