The signing ceremony took place earlier in the year with government officials, the Vientiane Province Governor, Vientiane Province Planning and Investment Department Director and Ichin Engineering & Construction Lao Company President in attendance. The proposed design will develop an entire commercial tourism space consisting of a 5-star hotel, hospital, tourism academy and a multi-ethnic cultural theater. The site of the project will be the former Vang Vieng airport, covering a land area of 162 sq km. The construction of this project is expected to take five years.
