Thammachat Vegetarian Food restaurant review in Pattaya (Thai, Vegan) Happily recommended food but best to try for yourself. Open front - fans Seats 20 people Friendly owner Suphaporn Rungapiphanomnet Lovely staff but they know very little English. A supply of packaged take home vegetarian items for sale. Plus a big supply of frozen mock meats for sale in a big stand-up freezer at the back of the restaurant. Take home Almond cookies are delicious 30b for 6 Take home Veggie Hot Dogs 4 for 60b = good taste On Buddha Day they serve a special feast with a wide array of dishes. About 10 mains plus another 3 big soup pots to choose from on the buffet. Buffet food vegan = Personally I prefer hot food but it was all cold when we ate at 9am. One good thing about being cold is that the vegetables stay nice and crunchy. They do not get soft and over cooked from sitting on a warmer all day. Some of the buffet dishes are very spicy. Ask if you want mild. Mock meats are tasty They also have menu items available if you want hot items not on the buffet. The menu is all in Thai so if you do not know Thai just point at the photos and tell them spicy or not. :-) The dishes are priced between 40b and 80b. Brown rice only 10b – by the end of the day it is a bit clumpy but still a great flavor. Satay is very yummy = does not even need the dipping sauce that it comes with. Out of the six average size dishes ordered we enjoyed every one of them. Our 6 dishes and 3 drinks came to a total of only 230baht!! On repeated visits I have tried various dishes from the menu. Everything I have had there has been excellent! They have a variety of herbal bottled drinks there. My favorite so far is the Butterfly Pea Lime drink 20b – delicious! I have had a couple of drinks that are in unlabeled bottles. They told me what they were called, some Thai fruits but I do not remember the names. Yellow one is good. The purple one is excellent!
