THE MOST UNDERRATED RIVALRY IN CENTRAL EUROPE? THE EAST BOHEMIAN DERBY; PARDUBICE VS HRADEC KRALOVE

In March 2024, I travelled to Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. To watch them take on their archrivals: FK Pardubice, in what is known as the East Bohemian Derby for the first time in their newly built stadium. (CHECK OUT THIS VLOG FOR THE RETURN FIXTURE). The game left a big impression on me in a good way ... the scenes were everything a derby should be ... So i had to return to experience it in the reverse fixture at FK Pardubice. It surely couldn't get any better than the first time around ... could it? Well it did. The return derby fixture had it all from plenty of goals, pyro shows, and a red card ! In sum, a really underrated derby in both Czechia and Central Europe that has rekindled and one that i could not recommend enough for other football enthuisiasts to experience. Rivalry background: Both Hradec Kralove and Pardubice are 'capitals' of their respective local regions in Czechia, and with a distance of 25km separating the pair, the rivalry extends much further than a football pitch.
