The mission of the SOS Children’s Villages of India is to build families for children without parental care so that they grow up with love, respect and security. It is the first child care NGO to get a CRISIL rating for strong delivery capability and high financial proficiency. It is one of the very few Indian NGOs that gives a 100% tax exemption under section 35 AC. SOS Children’s Villages of India reaches out to over 24,000 children & their families, through 32 SOS Children’s Villages, allied & community based projects like Family Strengthening Programs, Kindergartens, Schools, Vocational Training Centers, and a Nursing School, spread across 22 states of India.
