#POE #pathofexile #ruthlesswithgold The POE 'Ruthless With Gold" event is a few hours old (13 when I uploaded this) and it's not what we were told to expect. A key source of character gear upgrades in the acts is transmuting items which is dependent upon vendoring items for transmute shards (items that would vendor for alteration shards in the base game vendor for transmute shards instead in Ruthless and this is 70-80% of your transmutation supply) This is gone in Ruthless With Gold, instead you get coins that... don't really do anything early. I've IDed every set of rare boots and most magic boots that have dropped to Act 5, and the only chance I've had to get them that I haven't taken is the two transmutes I used on other items. I still haven't seen movespeed. In Ruthless (without gold) I'd have had at least a dozen transmutes by now, and would have SOME movespeed. The event is still beatable, it's just far different from the promised "Ruthless mode but a little less so". It's more like "Ruthless mode, and a moderate extra serve of Ruthlessness on top" Map sustain without transmute sustain is going to be a mess.
