Olympiacos could be the team chosen by Spencer Dinwiddie for his first experience in the EuroLeague. According to Moshe Barda, the two sides are in advanced negotiations, with the Reds eager to strengthen their backcourt by signing the former Colorado guard. Dinwiddie was selected with the 38th overall pick by the Detroit Pistons in the 2014 NBA draft. He then spent the start of the 2016–17 season with Chicago's D-League affiliate team, the Windy City Bulls averaging 19.4 points, 8.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds over 37.4 minutes in nine games. On December 8, 2016, Dinwiddie signed with the Brooklyn Nets. On August 6, 2021, Dinwiddie was acquired by the Washington Wizards via a sign-and-trade deal involving five teams, sending Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers. Dinwiddie signed a three-year deal worth $54 million and a maximum of $60 million through incentives. On October 22, Dinwiddie scored 34 points, alongside six rebounds and nine assists, in a 135–134 overtime win over the Indiana Pacers. On February 10, 2022, Dinwiddie was traded, along with Dāvis Bertāns, to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Kristaps Porziņģis and a protected 2022 second-round pick. On February 6, 2023, Dinwiddie was traded back to the Brooklyn Nets, along with Dorian Finney-Smith, an unprotected 2029 first-round pick, and second-round picks in 2027 and 2029, in exchange for Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris. On February 10, 2024, Dinwiddie signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a one-year deal worth the league minimum. On August 3, 2024, Dinwiddie returned to the Dallas Mavericks.
