The Hellion boss fight ending to the Revolting Hellbugs Arkfall set. Like the Matriarch fight, ammo is usually an issue, keep in mind a place to go reload once you've drained your various ammo pools. These fights are generally lower on the kill counts and higher on the damages as you fight bigger Hellbugs. This one only netted me 47 kills, but 3.5 million damage. Generally not a dangerous fight as long as you keep an eye on the behavior of the big guys and get out of the way when they give their signs. This is a fun fight when the Monarchs don't bug out and reset to full health. The fight starts when you've cleared the 5 mini Arkfalls to unlock the boss fight as usual. The main body of the Hellion in the center has "maws" that shoot out spit attacks, you need to take these out to progress to the second stage. The second stage is the flying Hellion which leaves the main body. It has low armor so overall shots on it do good damage, base of the tail is the critical location. The mouth looks like it has a critical location at times during its animations, but I was never able to get a critical from it. The main attack is a small aoe spit at whoever has pissed it off the most. For anybody standing too close it likes to swoop down for a quick strick. Standing at a distance doesn't always help though, it likes to dive bomb for a melee attack, which can be hard to avoid. The third stage has the Hellion flying back into the main body when it's taken enough damage. At this point two Monarchs come out to play, you'll need to kill both of these to get the Hellion to leave the main body so you can further damage it. The Monarchs don't have anything special, they're just like others you'll run into elsewhere. Monarchs have two weak spots, the tailbone and the throat. The tailbone becomes vulnerable for a few seconds after it does its rolling attack or when it's been stunned. The throat/underbelly can be hit most easily while it rears up on its hind legs to set off its line explosion attack, another short window here. You can actually hit the underside if you get up close and get low at any point. I've played some Arkfalls where the hellion stays out after the first wave of Monarchs and dies, and others where it will retreat back into the Main body so you have to fight a second wave of Monarchs before coming out for the final time. My guess is that is based on the number of players in the area participating.
