Descending a Rugged, Wilderness Canyon - Blue Mountains, Australia (4K)

Back on another Wollemi Adventure, this time descending a historic canyon in the Blue Mountains National Park - the birthplace of Australian canyoning! On this weekend adventure we walk along trails with awesome views out into exposed cliff-faces and stunning valleys. We complete a number of abseils before entering the canyon constriction, where numerous swims and abseils await! Several hours of descending await, before arriving at a jaw-dropping waterfall with insane views out into the Grose Valley. A couple of rock-climbing pitches directly next to a waterfall lead us to another canyon, where we complete a difficult climbing pitch before finally scampering through breaks in the cliffline to achieve a beautiful vantage point. The steep gradient mellows here, and we return to the car and finish with a celebratory pub feed!
