Sagafjord Cruise Ship Promotion C1970 Escape to the Sea, Norwegian America Line, NAL, F465

A an edited version of the full length promotional film entitled "Escape to the Sea", which is about the Sagafjord cruise ship. The film looks designed to encourage the more mature customer onto long cruises for the food, leisure, and activities. The Sagfjord went into service 1965 with a GT of about 24,500, and a length of 198m. Her first owner was the Norwegian America Line (NAL) who appear to have commisioned this promo. She passed through various hands and duties over the years, but was notibly prolific for her world cruises. She was scrapped in 2010 under her last name the Saga Rose.
