Goodwill Sewing Machine: Worth It?

I bought a White 999 sewing machine (that’s probably a little over 40 years old) at Goodwill for $50. Was it worth it? I was pretty happy with the basic, straight stitch I was able to sew after this machine’s spa day. But, I realized I forgot to clean the tension disks.
