VW Heat Riser Air Intake Carbon Cleaning Today I'm going to ream out my heat riser with my new tool and a drill to remove the carbon from inside the tubing. I am also going to clean out my air intake with my drill and Scotch bright pad to remove dirt and fuel residue to improve the engine performance. Then I will wire wheel and paint the assembly returning it to virtually new condition.
