At BEC, we recently conducted the AAMA 502/503/ASTM E783/E1105 Air and Water Infiltration Testing on the aluminum-framed storefront assemblies at the Mechanicsville Elementary School in Maryland. The total area we covered was approximately 40,348 square feet. This testing was part of our contribution to the phased renovation and addition project at the school. As part of the project, new classrooms and revamped existing restrooms, the administration suite, the media center, and entrance canopies were added. Our team made sure to thoroughly test the storefront assemblies for air and water infiltration to ensure their durability and performance. AAMA 502/503 and ASTM testing play a crucial role in quality control and provide assurance to all parties involved, including builders and owners.
