Tadhg grew up idolising his star Gaelic Football playing father; determined to be a successful footballer in his own right. When the chance arose to play professional Australian Rules Football with the Sydney Swans, he leapt at the chance. But working his way to success and winning an AFL premiership with the Sydney Swans wasn't quite enough, he still dreamt of winning an All Ireland Trophy like his father. When his father died suddenly he travelled home to Ireland to be with his family and was inspired to give it a go. His hard work paid off and he was on the winning Kerry team that year, finally fulfilling a lifelong dream.
