Trevor Barroero performs "Well-Groomed" for Solo Snare Drum, by Viet Cuong. This performance was presented as part of Trevor's recital, "From the Ashes," on May 10, 2021. Find out more about Trevor Barroero and "From the Ashes" by visiting: www.trevorbarroero.com. Viet Cuong composed "Well-Groomed" in 2019 for the Modern Snare Drum Competition. Trevor's performance of the piece is a direct reflection on the inconveniences caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic. When all barber shops around the country were shut down, Trevor and his fiancee, Holly, struggled to find clippers and grooming tools online. Everything was sold out. Eventually, as shelves were restocked, Holly watched some online tutorials and for the past 15 months, all their haircuts have taken place at home!
