Romans 3:28 says, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law." James 2:24 seems to say the opposite: "You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." Is this a contradiction? When we read these verses in context, we see that this is not a contradiction. James explains that Abraham "believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness." Romans says that we are justified by faith. James explains that faith produces action. For some people, this passage in James brings fearful thoughts: "What if my faith isn't real? What if my faith doesn't produce enough?" I hope that this video will give peace and confidence to sincere believers in Jesus.
