ITA Airways is Italy's new flag carrier, created as a replacement for the bankrupt Alitalia. It commenced operations in 2021, and operates around 100 aircraft as of the second half of 2024. Join me as I embark on my first long-haul trip since 2018, which will take us to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Overall a decent experience with ITA Airways in Economy Class on this 14-hour flight. Aside from their stunning livery, I thought the cabin looked pretty elegant in its blue and vanilla tones. The seat itself was comfortable enough, the IFE selection was fair, and there was, of course, a USB-A port you could use to charge your devices. The food was not bad either, and I found the idea of having an antipasti bowl for the appetizer quite original. While the breakfast may seem a bit basic for a flight of this length, in the end I did find it quite filling, not to mention that there are sandwiches available in the galley throughout the flight. What I also think is worth mentioning, is that, at the time of making this video, ITA have one of the youngest fleets among the European carriers, in addition to the fact that their Rome Fiumicino hub is considered to be one of the top airports in Europe.
