This video instructs how to help a baby learn to balance in sitting. My name is Amy Sturkey, PT. I am a pediatric physical therapist in the US. I'd like to give some ideas to families who have a baby with Microcephaly due to the Zika virus. This video teaches a simple technique of how to improve your baby's sitting balance. I taped this video specifically for families with a child with Microcephaly; however, this technique could be used with any child with a developmental delay who is not good at sitting. This video is only appropriate for children who already showing some sitting skills. This is not appropriate for a much weaker child than the one pictured in this video.
