Mihawk has 2 bugs in his kit, both of which can be abused to maximize his damage output. The first is that whenever you use "Black Blade: Nocturne" you can dash cancel after the first couple of hits and it will still deal full damage. This can be used in conjunction with aerial C3 for pretty good DPS against immovable enemies by rotating aerial combos and Nocturne. For this reason, Top of the World and Concentration are recommended skills to take in Mihawk's build. The second is that if you use C4 with one level of sword charge, the damage is bugged and you will do ridiculous damage. Not quite crazy enough to one shot high health enemies but close to using a musou special. The only downside is that the range is very short and since you have to do the initial five-hit combo to gain sword charge you are prone to getting interrupted. In general, use aerial C3 to gain charge and deal some chip damage, then use one of your specials to finish off enemies. Mihawk's biggest challenge is dealing with Logia enemies such as Ace and the Admirals. It's best to finish them off quickly with high burst damage before they go into FFB.
