Huge playlist archive with games from 2019:    • ZX Spectrum games 2019   Astro Blaster is an arcade game from 1981 made by Sega/Gremlin and it is kind of a mix between Arcadia and Galaxians. While we recently have got some impressive vertical and horizontal scrolling shoot’em ups for the ZX Spectrum, it has been quiet a while for the one screen shooters. For a one screen shooter from 1981 this is pretty good. Where you in most of these old games just had to shoot on everything that moves, you have to watch out for your fuel supply and the heating from your laser cannon. It is possible to overheat the laser and then you can not shoot before it cools down, and you can also run out of fuel. You will run out of fuel if you don’t hit when firing at the enemies, so you have to defeat the attack waves as quick as possible and with as few shots as possible. When you pass an asteroid belt you can gain extra fuel by shooting the fire balls, and you can also earn secret bonuses for extra points, and after each level there is a docking section where you have to dock with the mother ship to refuel. The game is faithful to the original arcade game and features the same seven levels before it loops, it plays and controls well and the sound fx is nice. This is a nice return for this old genre and a good and challenging game with lots of different attack waves! The game was made by Matt Jackson in 2019.
