Trump has appointed and the Senate has confirmed Pete Hegseth despite all the concerns about him. He has also done musical chairs to assure the loyalty of the Joint Chiefs. Then Hegseth fired tens of thousands of people in the DOD, and got into the Signal Chat scandal along with various appointees in the US Intelligence community. We have stopped sharing intelligence with Europe and they have stopped sharing intelligence with us. Truimp has badly undermined NATO. They cannot trely on us and for that matter we cannot rely on them. In our show, we discuss the morale and efficacy of the US military and how well they could perform as an isolationist nation without allies in the conflicts we can now anticipate in the new world order. Should we be concerned about corruption in the defense establishment by Elon Musk and other oligarchs. Is our military up to the task. Can it provide effective defense and boots on the ground as and when called upon to do so. Will our military resist unlawful orders, such as deployment against American citizens. The takeaway was: We spend nearly a trillion dollars a year on our military, and we must know and follow what they are doing and how well prepared they are for the conflicts we can now anticipate in the Trump administration.
