Enjoy in HD! In the 1980's Jim Findley built the Tioga Pass RR. Part #10 of this series features Shay #3-2 imported by Pacific Fast Mail (PFM), built by United the locomotive is painted and detailed for the Wind River RR as #3. It has constant lights, Flywheel, extra weight added as well as Kadee couplers. In the early nineties I purchased the railroad from Jim with a plan to put it back into working order... but that never occurred. these locos have been hidden in a closet until recently! These locos have been in storage for over 36 years... There was an elusive Tioga Pass loco to find... a PFM 2-8-2 that is hiding in the roundhouse somewhere! It has now been found after 37 years!!! And in the box with the 2-8-2 was found another surprise This PFM Shay Lettered #3 the Wind River Branch of Jim Findley's Tioga Pass. In Fact it is featured on the cover of the August 1982 Model Railroader Magazine, With a drover's caboose in tow going across the high trestle!
