In 2025, Amaroq conducted the first comprehensive exploration campaign at the Nanoq gold project in South Greenland since 1997. The results exceeded expectations, delivering systematic high-grade gold intersections and confirming a geological model that could support a major new mining operation. Episode 5: Nanoq documents Amaroq's 2025 exploration programme through on-site footage with VP of Exploration James Gilbertson and strategic commentary from CEO Eldur Ólafsson. This episode examines how 4,807 metres of diamond drilling across 27 holes, combined with detailed geological mapping and geophysical correlation, transformed an outcropping gold occurrence into one of Greenland's most significant emerging discoveries. This episode explores what makes Nanoq strategically important: systematic drilling that intersected mineralization in 63% of holes with an average grade of 9.98 g/t Au over 3.3m thickness, multiple parallel gold-bearing structures including the newly discovered West 1 Zone (surface samples up to 9.5 g/t Au), an interpreted Central Zone strike length of 1.5 kilometres extending beneath the retreating ice cap, and shallow high-grade intercepts including 187.4 g/t Au over 1.5m—all within 30-70 metres of surface, suggesting significant open-pit potential. What's Covered: • 2025 exploration programme results: 4,807m drilling across 27 holes • High-grade intersections: 187.4 g/t Au over 1.5m, 19.6 g/t Au over 4.9m, 3.83 g/t Au over 9.0m • Geological mapping extending Central Zone to 1.5km strike length • West 1 Zone discovery: ~1km parallel structure with surface grades up to 9.5 g/t Au • Geophysics correlation and prediction of West 2, 3, 4 zones • Infrastructure planning: 3km access road to potential harbour site • 2026 work programme: infill drilling, expansion, and maiden resource estimate • Strategic context: Nalunaq production funding "elephant hunting" strategy validated VP Exploration James Gilbertson provides technical detail on the geological model, drilling methodology, and exploration targets, while CEO Eldur Ólafsson explains the strategic significance of the discovery, operational leverage from existing Nalunaq infrastructure, and the pathway from bulk sampling to potential standalone mining operation.
