CLUTCH An Evening with the BLAST TYRANT Live FULL ALBUM plus UNRELEASED songs & The Bakerton Group

The idea was to create a fan-sourced live album fashioned after "An Evening With Clutch" 2004 tour that featured sets from The Bakerton Group (all 5 members of Clutch) and Clutch. The tour supported the Blast Tyrant album (originally released 3/30/2004) and featured Jean-Paul, Tim, Dan, Neil and new keyboard/organ player Mick (R.I.P.) jamming and shredding for our amusement for 2+ hours each night. The evening was broken into “sets” 1 TBG set and then 2 Clutch sets. So, in celebration of 20 years of the Blast Tyrant, here is the completed live compilation album that was a year in the making. This comp presents live recordings, mostly from the time period surrounding the Blast Tyrant album, separated into special ‘sets’ as described below. Set 1 is an entire opening set from The Bakerton Group. This is a soundboard recording from the 9:30 Club. Two of the songs were never released on a TBG studio album. Set 2 features Clutch’s ‘Blast Tyrant’ album played live in its entirety in correct album sequence. These live versions were mostly from soundboard recordings from the 2004 tour. Set 3 features live renditions of songs found on the Blast Tyrant demos & the Polar Bear Lair Demos (as found on the Blast Tyrant Bonus Disc -- Basket Of Eggs). These songs were performed during 2002 and 2003. Set 4 includes songs played live between 2002 and 2003 that are unreleased and never ended up on the Blast Tyrant album or are early versions of released songs with working titles and feature different lyrics and/or arrangements at the time of the performance. The live material is sourced from traded live Clutch CDs, DVDs, audio files and the Clutch Archive on YouTube.
