Today there was a Palestine protest march in Sheffield, starting at hunters bar round about and going down Ecclesall Road into town. Most of the attendance were anglo saxon liberals protesting about issues in the Middle East while there are so many concerning issues such as immigration and soaring crime here in the UK they seem to turn a blind eye to. at one point the crowd started chanting in Arabic, quite a shocking thing to witness. The cognitive dissonance in the air is palpable , as people cheer on the people who are invading their lands and will soon have a majority population in the UK. These protestors are so wrapped in ego and virtu signalling they cant see they are calling in their own demise and enslavement. These protests play right into the Governments hands, creating division and normalising the Muslimification of the UK. im not a fan of either side in this war, it's ore the psychology of the protestors i am interested. What causes somebody to ignore glaring issues at home while making meaning in a war across the globe? How can people not see this is all a distraction from the real issues? As we enter peak dystopian times written about by George Orwell in his book 1984, im here to document it all as a citizen journalist.
