Over the years I have normally ignored "fake" or "counterfeit" China-Made import guitars, but I have also noticed that they get resold eventually to an unsuspecting buyer, only for them to find out later that it is a fake. So, now I have decided to go ahead and tell the pawn shops and music stores that they are fakes and prove it to them. I then, of course, deal them out of it. I had an extreme interest in this one because you just don't see too many Charvels that are questionable. It's usually just Fender and Gibson. Occasionally a Rickenbacker or PRS will pop up. I took interest in this one because it was hard to detect the faux-ness. But this one could still be some kind of prototype that escaped and got out into the wild. It does happen. This particular guitar I was calling a "probably a fake" because I had two people at the pawn shop doing research, trying to find it. We finally decided it was probably a "custom build" of some sort. They had $500 on it and I overheard the owner saying they only had $100 in it. Long story short, I offered them $150 and they took it immediately. We'll see what comes of it later, but if I do discover something, I am willing to tell the Pawnshop what I found and compensate them accordingly. (They watch this Channel) Right now, searching for more info. Got a message into Fender/Charvel. Going to send them some pics. I'll let you know how it goes in another video. Thanks for watching!
