I use both since I have an intel iMac 2020 (i7 5700xt 64gb ram) and a Macbook Pro M1 14" (16gb ram), they have been flawless and absolutely amazing in terms of quality build and sound quality. Neither of them slack, it just comes down to preference. I break it down here: Which is Better for Sound Quality? •If you value clean, transparent sound and driver performance, the RME Babyface Pro FS is the better choice. •If you want analog warmth, character, and access to high-quality plugins for tonal shaping, the UAD Apollo Twin X is the better option. Both are excellent in their own right, and the choice largely depends on whether you want pure, transparent sound (RME) or versatile analog emulation with great sound quality (Apollo).
