Seva Teerth will be a centre for empowerment, not power display: Cabinet Resolution

In its first meeting at Seva Teerth, the new PMO complex, the Union Cabinet adopted the “Seva Sankalp Resolution,” affirming that governance from the premises will be guided by the spirit of Nagrik Devo Bhava and focused on citizen empowerment. Chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Cabinet resolved that Seva Teerth “will not be a centre for the display of power, but rather a centre for the empowerment of every Indian.” The resolution underscored constitutional values, accountability to public aspirations, and a work culture rooted in service. Addressing the Cabinet briefing, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the building symbolises a new governance ethos centred on transparency, sensitivity, and citizen-centric reforms. The resolution also highlighted key achievements of the past decade, including poverty alleviation, health security, sanitation, housing, and rural water access.
