Location: Zwolle - The Netherlands 🇳🇱 Filmed: Monday February 15, 2021 Season: Winter 🥶 Weather: Dark 🌚 Temperature: 0°C / 32°F Route & Description: Zwolle is a city and municipality in the northeastern Netherlands serving as Overijssel’s capital. With a population of 127.497. (Source: Wikipedia). To give some idea, Amsterdam to Zwolle with fastest train, it took 1 hour 5 minutes. Monday means I need go to work. I go to work with my bicycle and it was so cold 🥶. This morning KNMI (Netherlands Meteorological Institute) gave a “Red Code” for whole country because of slippery roads. This mean that if there is unnecessary thing, don’t go outside. Some school are close, Covid-19 test street and vaccine places are close as well until 2 PM. But I tried still go to my work with my bicycle and I went out from home earlier than normal. Luckily that time, not raining yet so the road not yet slippery. When I arrived at work, began to rain. That rain make the road are slippery because combination of frozen & snow. From my home to work, It took me around 20-25 minutes with Electric Bike. The distance per way 9,5 KM. With normal bike, it can took around 45 minutes and it depends on the wind. Wind in Netherlands is really “No Joke”. I went out from home at 5:50AM and as you can see outside still dark in winter time. When in Summer 6AM the sun already shown its light. Many people use bicycle going to work and it’s safe. The Netherlands is famous with the most friendly bicycle country and the country that has the most bicycle per person. Everybody has bicycle in here. Personally I own 2 bicycles (Normal & E-bike). Bicycle very important in here because bicycle is one of main transportation in this country. You can go whole country with bicycle if you want. There is access for bicycle as good as the access for the car. Bicycle has own road & has own rules as well. Breaking the rules, be ready to get a fine. Currently in here there is 2 type of bicycle. Manual bicycle which mean normal bicycle and the other type is Electric Bicycle which is this bicycle use battery to support pedaling the bicycle, so this E-bike are very fast and very easy without using many of energy to pedaling.
