Here is another Valse in b flat minor. I tried it with a audio recording this time, but the hissing is just so loud, I don't quite understand how it can be so loud; My microphone is pretty good actually. I'll just stick to the vst solution probably, although it feels a lot more comfortable to play without headphones and as on a real instrument. Somehow it feels much easier to let the melody in the right hand sing. The piece is from 1922 and has a lot of chromatic ornaments, pretty much in the style of Chopin actually. The harmonies are exciting, for example the "a minor" with that ton of flats and double flats, is pretty unexpected. I also like that it gets a bit louder and fuller in sound in the middle part, which contrasts the melancolic overall feel. I have played some pieces by him already, I think. Often the pieces have that polish flavor to them, pieces which are just obviously in the tradition of Chopin, and developing his main ideas further, without trying to go too far away from this path.
