Prof. Dr. Juan Rafael Garcia - Air pollution (both in indoor and outdoor environments) and watercourse contamination have raised increasing concerns over the past decades. In that sense, enormous efforts have been devoted to the implementation of novel and more efficient technologies to mitigate these risks. These advances demand new knowledge regarding the development, selection, simulation, and design of materials suitable for such purposes, as well as the formulation of apropriate predictive models capable of adequately describing their performance. In this presentation, the following topics will be addressed.
