There were three ropes shoved into the hole on the marble, and I cut one of them just below the marble to reduce how much fuel burns. You can think of each rope as a fuel line. So again, trial and error. Note: the flame was still small in this clip because the wick had not yet been fully saturated; once the oil spread entirely into the cotton fibers, the flame was a bit on the large side just to have flickering away in the living room. I didn't re-shoot the video because the reduction is such an easy fix (for those who read the description).
