Bench test: McCoy Redhead .09 diesel model airplane engine

A close friend gave me this McCoy Redhead 09 diesel motor this past summer and this is one of the early test runs of the motor. Fitted with a 9-6 wooden prop, the motor ran around 3 times with the needle valve set per instruction manual, which now seems way too rich. In subsequent tests, the motor would not start and I've been advised that the O-ring on the contrapiston is likely shot - it is a ~40yr old motor after all. I will remove the head and replace the contra piston o-ring with a buna-n ring that will hopefully be durable and allow the engine to run again. thanks for watching
