The Media Innovation Orchestra-Mio is an orchestral start-up project which was developed in the work of almost three years of work with the d’achor (choir of students of the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Oskar Kokoschka Platz 2). d 'achor was originally an initiative to promote musical education in art. The Media Innovation Orchestra-Mio-is the attempt and the call for an alternative orchestral form in the Viennese music landscape and the world city of classical music, Vienna. Through crossover arrangements and repertoire of the Techno 90iger year the classical concert hall operation 2017 is to be enriched. Classic meets Minimal Techno is the motto. This success format, which has already been tried and tested in Germany and the world, should also work in Vienna and not be absent. Our project sees itself as a crossover pop meets Classic project... orchestral arrangements with electronic elements and pop vocals of the unique techno choir – d ' achor, but also classical opera singers participate.
