As the name suggests, it was originally a Béguinage. Today it is also the site of two churches, the Catholic Houten Huys and the English Reformed Church, and also known as the secret village in Amsterdam. In my opinion a must see and free thing to do in Amsterdam. It will also give you a nice glance into the history of the city, so enjoy the tour through Amsterdams Secret gardens, and through the hidden church all within a secret village inside Amsterdam center.
