Step inside the second edition of the ALDA International School, which took place from September 3 to 5, 2025, in the beautiful Villa Fabris, Thiene, Italy. Over three days, participants from Europe and beyond explored the topic of “Resilient Communities: Strengthening Local Democracy in Times of Change.” The programme blended thought-provoking keynotes, interactive panels, and hands-on exercises addressing issues such as populism, polarisation, digital transformation, and the role of AI in governance. Beyond the sessions, the School created space for dialogue and connection for the participants, from world cafés and simulations to study visits in Thiene and Schio, stimulating collaboration and lasting friendships.
